Advanced Cyber Security Leaders Program

In response to rapid advancements in cybersecurity, the Central Bank of Kuwait, in collaboration with the Kuwait Institute of Banking Studies and Kuwaiti banks, has designed the Advanced Cyber Security Leaders Program to enhance the capabilities of experienced Kuwaiti cybersecurity professionals and strengthen the security posture of the banking sector.

About the Program

  • The training program’s content in the field of cyber security is designed in line with the requirements of the banking and financial sector in Kuwait.
  • The program will be delivered by SANS Cyber Academy, one of the leading training institutions in the world, that is specialized in providing high quality training and professional certificates in the cyber security field.
  • The duration of the program will be around two months. The program comprises of practical professional training and tests to gain internationally accredited certificates in cyber security.

General Conditions

  • Applicant must be Kuwaiti nationals.
  • Applicant must have a Bachelor’s or Diploma’s degree.
  • Applicants must have at least 6 years of experience in the field and/or complete a minimum of 120 CPE (Continuous Professional Education) credits in related cybersecurity areas
  • Applicants must have successfully completed the GIAC Critical Controls Certification (GCCC) exam
  • Applicants must pass the program assessments (including but not limited to SANS Aptitude Assessment).
  • Applicants must pass the personal interviews with the program committee.
  • Applicants must provide express consent to join the program, and/or provide formal approval from the employer (for employees)

Required Documents

  • A copy of the accredited university degree or a transcript for the 2025 graduates
  • A copy of the civil ID.‪
  • A recent nationality certificate from SAHEL (سهل)
  • Passport Copy
  • A recent personal photo
  • A copy of SANS SEC566 – GCCC certificate
  • Official CPE credits certification or transcript (required if the applicant has less than 6 years of work experience).
  • A completed candidacy application
  • A nomination letter from the employer (for employees)

General Provisions

  • 25 participants will be selected from the total applicants after screening the candidate applications and passing the assigned tests, and personal interviews.
  • The participant is required to be full-time trainee during the program period.
  • Acceptance of candidacy applications does not entail joining the program as the applicant must pass the tests and interviews.
